The Rams will have to make a change in their analytics department
Not long after they hired James Gladstone out of the Rams front office to be their general manager, the Jacksonville Jaguars are going back to the same well for help with analytics. The Jaguars are expected to hire Jake Temme — L.A.’s director of data and analytics — as their Senior Vice President of Football Analytics, according to ESPN’s Seth Walder.

Temme was previously Director, Data and Analytics with Los Angeles. He follows James Gladstone from the Rams to the Jaguars.

How this move could actually impact the Rams is anyone’s guess.
The Rams have probably been as heavily involved in using analytics for the draft (instead of raw combine numbers) as any front office in the NFL. That type of data has potentially helped the Rams land steals such as Puka Nacua, Braden Fiske, and Kobie Turner, so any hit to that department might matter.
Or might not.
Presumably anyone who is working for the Rams who is that important wouldn’t be hard to keep in L.A. (instead of Jacksonville, Florida) by offering that person more money and a potential opportunity to advance in the company one day.
But the Jaguars apparently wanted Temme bad enough to grab him, so Gladstone seems to be a fan.
