Giants add second offensive tackle in free agency

The New York Giants continued on Wednesday to add experienced offensive tackle, agreeing to terms with four-year veteran Stone Forsythe. AMDG Sports, Forsythe’s agency, announced the deal.

Forsythe, 6-foot-8, 307 pounds, was a sixth-round draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2021. He played in 53 games with 14 starts over four seasons with Seattle. In 2024, he started five games and played 413 snaps at right tackle.

Forsythe, 27, also has experience at left tackle. For his career with the Seahawks, he played 925 snaps at right tackle and 215 at left tackle.

The Giants also signed swing tackle James Hudson III this week as they continue to try to fortify their offensive line depth.

It is a bit curious that the Giants would add another swing tackle. Perhaps this signals that Evan Neal will be moved inside. Perhaps even that Jermaine Eluemunor could be moved to right guard if the Giants can’t find a better alternative, with Forsythe and Hudson competing for the right tackle role.

Whatever the reason, it seems the Giants are determined not to be caught without a proper swing tackle should injuries strike again in 2025.
