Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 9/10/24
The Los Angeles Rams lost to the Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football and according to Pro Football Focus the player of the game was not on the Rams, but was instead Aidan Hutchinson of the Lions. That’s no real surprise, but had the Rams won I wonder who would’ve won player of the game. Would’ve it have still been Hutchinson? Would it have been Cooper Kupp? I guess we’ll never know.
Please feel free to share you thought should’ve won players of the game below! Comment on whatever you’d like and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
NFL Week 1 Recap: Detroit Lions 26, Los Angeles Rams 20 (pff.com)
“Lions edge defender Aidan Hutchinson was lights out in this one and was arguably the biggest reason why Stafford was denied his revenge for the second time.
According to PFF’s first review of the game film, Hutchinson recorded one sack, three hits and five hurries from 44 pass-rush snaps, and he added another eight pass-rush wins that didn’t result in pressure. The star pass rusher ended the contest with a 37.0% pass-rush win rate and a 90.0-plus PFF grade.”

Everyone’s Saying the Same Thing About Cooper Kupp After Rams-Lions (athlonsports.com)
“The Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions faced off in a massive NFC showdown on “Sunday Night Football.” The game had plenty of headlines, including Matthew Stafford’s return to Detroit and the Lions’ first game after a heartbreaking NFC title game loss.
However, it was Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp that stole the show. The talented wide receiver has struggled with injuries over the past two years. In 2022 and 2023, Kupp played 21 games combined after being a reliable option for the Rams.”
