The Rams invested in offense and have not added a corner or linebacker yet
If you had a cornerback or a linebacker at the top of your Rams free agent wish list, then you are not Les Snead. L.A.’s GM has invested in Davante Adams, Tutu Atwell, and Jimmy Garoppolo, as well as defensive tackle Poona Ford, but has yet to add a corner or linebacker in free agency.
It’s still early, but clearly a top cornerback or linebacker wasn’t the immediate need that many fans expected it could be.
Notable CB contracts signed in free agency thus far:

- Charvarius Ward, Colts, 3 years and $60m
- D.J. Reed, Lions, 3 years and $48m
- Byron Murphy, Vikings, 3 years and up to $66m
- Kristian Fulton, Chiefs, 2 years and $20m
- Nate Hobbs, Packers, 4 years and $48m
- Jourdan Lewis, Jaguars, 3 years and $30m
- Mike Jackson, Panthers, 2 years and $14m
- Donte Jackson, Chargers, 2 years and $13m
The Rams have held onto Darious Williams so far, their top cornerback signing (along with Tre White) in 2024.
When I posed a question to Rams fans on Twitter of which player they wanted the most, linebacker Dre Greenlaw was the top answer. But L.A. is not concerned that Omar Speights is their only linebacker 100% locked down for 2025.

Should the Rams have tried to find an upgrade to Christian Rozeboom and Troy Reeder, both of whom are free agents?
Per NFL.com, the top cornerback available is Asante Samuel, Jr., followed by Stephon Gilmore and Rasul Douglas. The top linebacker available is Kyzer White.
Should Snead try and bring someone in before the draft or is it going to be another cheap year on defense?
