NFL Free Agency 2025: Grades For Every Signing, Trade | The 33rd Team
Paulson Adebo Grade: A+. The New York Giants make what might be one of the most underrated but valuable free-agent signings of Monday by bringing Paulson Adebo into the Big Apple. Adebo suffered a broken leg that ended his 2024 season but has made it clear on social media that he’s healthy and will be ready to go for training camp. Adebo has been an ultra-productive corner the past two seasons, generating seven interceptions and 28 pass breakups. He’s a great fit alongside some of New York’s young cornerbacks like Deonte Banks and Dru Phillips.
Roy Robertson-Harris Grade: B. A two-year, $15 million deal isn’t going to break the bank for the New York Giants, who land a veteran interior pass rusher in Roy Robertson-Harris. A solid depth signing for a team with some real impact pass rushers in the trenches. Robertson-Harris won’t be the premier defensive star, but all of the attention that will go to other defenders could allow him to make some plays on passing downs in New York’s defense.
Pre-Free Agency 2025 NFL Mock Draft: Giants trade up for Cam Ward, Browns zero in on Shedeur Sanders | PFF
1. New York Giants: QB Cam Ward, Miami (FL) Trade terms: Giants receive No. 1 overall pick; Titans receive No. 3 overall pick, No. 34 overall pick and 2026 third-round pick. The Giants are desperate for a franchise quarterback, so much so that owner John Mara has publicly said it’s “the No. 1 issue” for the team as general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll head into a make-or-break season. New York hopes to find that by trading up for Ward, whose 92.9 PFF overall grade in 2024 led all FBS quarterbacks.
2025 NFL Mock Draft: Jets land Shedeur Sanders, shake up first three rounds | The Athletic
3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado. If cooler heads prevail and the Giants do something reasonable like sign a bridge backup while drafting a QB later, that’d feel like a win for both New York’s present and future — no matter who’s running the show long-term. Hunter immediately would improve whichever room he touches.
34. New York Giants: Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss. This feels like a much smarter use of resources for the Giants. Even if they have to jump back into the bottom of Round 1 for a QB, it’d be less of a risk than taking a shot at No. 2.
65. New York Giants: Jared Ivey, Edge, Ole Miss
Giants’ Ihmir Smith-Marsette itching for an offensive role | USAToday.com
Kick returner Ihmir Smith-Marsette, who had an impressive first year with the Giants in 2024, believes he can help the team’s stagnant offense with his 4.42 speed and penchant for big plays.
Smith-Marsette wants to put that speed to use on offense going forward, posting “When I get that offensive chance it’s up and no looking back .”
