Adebo, 25, was drafted by the New Orleans Saints out of Stanford in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Interestingly, the Saints traded up with the Giants for the right to draft Adebo.
He has good size and athleticism for the position at 6-foot-1, 192 pounds, and has played almost every snap for the Saints since being drafted. He’s also given up just two touchdowns over the last two seasons. He’s also given up a completion percentage of just 56.9 percent over that same period while making 128 tackles.
Adebo will immediately slot in as a starter across from Deonte Banks, and potentially give the Giants a very formidable secondary along with Dru Philips and Tyler Nubin.
Adebo’s health is a slight question, as he’s coming off a broken femur suffered after just seven games last year.
We’ll update with the terms of the agreed upon deal when we get them.
