The New York Giants (0-1) head to Landover, Md. this week to face the Washington Commanders (0-1) in their first road game of the 2024 season. Sunday’s game kicks off at 1 p.m.
The Giants are 2.5-point underdogs, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
The Giants are coming off a disastrous performance in their opening game, a 28-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at MetLife Stadium.
“I thought we had a good week. Good week of preparation,” said head coach Brian Daboll. “And again, it’s on all 11 (players). It’s on the coaches. It’s on me. So, we’ll work hard to fix that and come up with something better than we did, against Washington.”
The Commanders lost their opening game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 37-20.
Despite the loss, there is a renewed sense of optimism in Washington. The Commanders have a new head coach in Dan Quinn, and a new quarterback in No. 2 overall pick Jayden Daniels. Daniels was 17 of 24 for 188 yards passing and ran for 88 yards yards and two touchdown on 16 carries vs. Tampa Bay.
