Jackson just completed his third year with the Vikings after being signed off the Tennessee Titans practice squad in 2022. In three seasons with the Vikings, the former Tennessee Volunteer has 47 total tackles, four pass breakups, and two career interceptions.
Despite having yet to record his first NFL start, Jackson has been a valuable depth piece for the Vikings defense. When needed, he’s been able to fill a number of roles, including Dime linebacker, slot corner, and deep safety. Vikings coaches have lauded Jackson’s versatility, essentially making him the backup at the “Josh Metellus role.”
In a late December game against the Seahawks this past season, Jackson stepped in for an injured Harrison Smith and wound up recording the game-winning interception off Seattle quarterback Geno Smith. Now, the former late-round pick cashes in on his first contract extension to stay in Minnesota.
