NFL Network’s Cam Wolfe believes the Titans and Panthers will make a push for Holland.

Miami Dolphins‘ safety Jevón Holland is expected to be one of the top free agents available next week.

NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe reported Wednesday that the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers, two teams with over $50 million in available salary cap space, are expected to make a push for Holland’s services when the legal tampering period starts on Monday.

“[Holland’s new contract] is expected to eclipse $15 million — maybe close to $20 million a year,” Wolfe said on NFL Network’s The Insiders. “That may be a little rich for the Dolphins’ blood, but we’ll keep an eye on how this evolves in the days ahead.

“A couple of teams, the Titans and the Panthers, are potentially in the mix for him.”

Six safeties currently average more than $15 million annually. Antoine Winfield Jr. is the only safety averaging over $20 million per year after signing a four-year contract extension with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last offseason.

Holland has had some inconsistencies with the Dolphins, but it’s rare for a 25-year-old ascending safety to hit free agency. While a growing salary cap opens the door for a major payday, Miami lacks the space to sign him and address a range of roster issues.

The NFL’s legal tampering period begins at noon ET on March 10. The new league year and the official start of free agency begins at 4 p.m. on March 12.
