The two-time Pro Bowler can still earn his full $21 million in compensation.
The Miami Dolphins’ pass rush has the chance to be special next season.
Fox Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz reported on Wednesday that the Dolphins and Bradley Chubb had agreed to a restructured contract, solidifying his place on the roster for the 2025 season. The adjusted contract reduces his base salary, but he can still earn up to $21 million through playtime and other incentives, according to the report.

There was uncertainty about Chubb’s future with the Dolphins after he missed the 2024 season due to a torn ACL, meniscus, and patellar tendon suffered on December 31, 2023. With the adjusted contract, Miami enters 2025 with a pass rush trio of Chubb (a two-time Pro Bowler), former first-round pick Jaelan Phillips, and Chop Robinson, who is coming off a six-sack rookie season.
“I can’t say enough about the effect [Chubb’s] had on Chop Robinson,” defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver said on Jan. 2. “He’s constantly out there, trying to coach him up on the sideline, just trying to help this young kid out because he’s been that guy too, right?
“He’s been that high draft pick with high expectations so he can relate to him. I love him. I can’t wait until he’s out there with us all the time because just like Calais (Campbell), Zach Sieler, some of these other guys, Jaelan Phillips, he is a force multiplier.”
The restructured contract not only helps the Dolphins address other areas of need during the offseason, but also opens the door for an elite pass rush heading into a must-win season for Miami.
