Will the Pittsburgh Steelers get in on any of the Matthew Stafford drama? The Steelers are a historically good franchise, but have struggled at the quarterback position for the last number of seasons. Could Stafford be an answer to their issues on offense?
As the Stafford rumors continue to spill, it seems possible for a number of teams to reach out and inquire about making a move for the Super Bowl winning quarterback.
Feel free to share any thoughts and comments and have a great Monday! Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
This Steelers-Rams trade would cure all of Pittsburgh’s offensive woes immediately (fansided)
“Stafford is the big ticket item in this potential trade. Pittsburgh would need to be comfortable with the idea of sending a first-rounder to Los Angeles to get the veteran signal-caller. Interestingly, Kupp would not require nearly as much competition to land in a trade. His contract drastically reduces the amount of draft capital the Rams can demand in exchange for the veteran wideout.
Adding Kupp to the deal should only require the Steelers to add a Day Three pick into the mix. A fourth or fifth-rounder should be enough to secure Kupp. Pittsburgh should be able to convince Los Angeles to part with Stafford and Kupp for a first and fifth-round pick in this year’s draft.”

“I’m sure proud of the body of work and really proud of the way that he’s played,” McVay said during his end-of-season news conference. “I think the coolest thing you can say about Matthew is he shines the brightest on the biggest stages. When you look at the seven playoff games that he’s played in since he’s been a Ram, he certainly gives you a chance every time you step out on the field, and for that, I’m sure appreciative.”
After spending his first 12 seasons with the Detroit Lions, the Rams traded for Stafford before the 2021 season then won the Super Bowl in their first season together.”

Rams Predicted to Make Bold Selections in New Mock Draft (si.com)
“Jahdae Barron was phenomenal this season for Texas on the outside. Due to a lack of overall length, Barron projects favorably as a nickel corner and safety because of his tackling ability, ball skills, and decision-making.” Wrote PFN’s Joe DeLeone. “The Rams’ young defensive core was exciting in 2024; adding Barron to the mix would take them to another level.”
Barron is a great pick. He’s a plug and play nickel corner that would allow Quentin Lake to drop deeper into coverage and thus would allow Kam Curl to play closer to the line of scrimmage. Barron has the ability to play safety if needed as well.”
