Giants 10-step offseason plan: Sign bridge QB, trade back in NFL Draft, build for future | The Athletic

If he’s available, I’d aim to trade back to No. 6 with the Raiders, who have been rumored to be enamored with Sanders. The sixth pick could be used to target the next tier at edge rusher (Georgia’s Jalon Walker) or cornerback (Michigan’s Will Johnson), a top offensive lineman (LSU’s Will Campbell or Missouri’s Armand Membou), or a game-changing tight end (Penn State’s Tyler Warren). Any of those prospects would be a step down from the options at No. 3. That’s why securing a 2026 first-round pick would be essential in any trade back to build ammo to pursue a quarterback in next year’s draft.

If I can’t make a trade, I’d take the best available player with the third pick. My top target would be Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter followed closely by Colorado cornerback/receiver Travis Hunter.

Ranking Every NFL Team’s Offensive Building Blocks Ahead of 2025 Offseason | Bleacher Report

Malik Nabers is the future of the Giants offense. He finished second among rookies in catches (109) and receiving yards (1,204) this past season despite the team’s horrific quarterback situation with Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito and Drew Lock.

Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. emerged as a pleasant surprise, racking up 1,123 scrimmage yards, but he had nearly as many fumbles (five) as touchdowns (six). He must take care of the ball to retain the lead role out of the backfield.

John Schmeelk: Cornerback Deonte Banks. This was a fairly easy answer for me. The Giants have a lot of youth in the defensive backfield and they need Banks to take a leap. He plays sticky coverage, but too many times when the ball is in the air at the catch point, he doesn’t get his head around and either allows the receiver to make the catch or commits a defensive pass interference penalty. He needs to fine tune that part of his game and lock into the little details on every play that turns physically gifted players into great players. There’s too much inconsistency that needs to get eliminated from play to play.

PFF’s Mock Draft Simulator: Most-picked 2025 NFL Draft prospects for every team | PFF

New York Giants: QB Shedeur Sanders, Colorado. Sanders may be below average in stature and arm talent compared to NFL quarterbacks, but he plays the game cleanly, takes care of the football and is tough as nails with ice in his veins under pressure.

Emory Hunt: Sanders has been a top QB since entering college

New York Giants: None. The Giants’ cap priorities lie in finding their franchise quarterback, whether that be via trade (Kirk Cousins), free agency (Sam Darnold) or the draft (Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders). That will likely require a significant cap investment, likely making a tag cost probative. Luckily, none of the Giants’ impending free agents warrant a franchise tag.

Floyd Mayweather Wants to Buy Stake in New York Giants | TMZ

Floyd Mayweather wants to own the NY Giants … and we’re told the 50-0 boxing legend is leading a group gunning to buy a 10% stake in the 4x Super Bowl-winning franchise!

TMZ Sports has learned that 47-year-old Mayweather and his business partner, prominent real estate magnate, Meyer Orbach, are putting together an offer. There will likely be another wealthy investor added to the team, per what we are being told from our sources. We’re told the offer will be in the neighborhood of $700 million … and the plan is to submit the proposal soon. We’re told TBE has already moved $200 million into an escrow account.
