With a likely top-three pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Giants are expected to pursue a franchise quarterback, and Sanders has been one of the most commonly linked names. His accuracy, mechanics, and ability to extend plays make him a strong candidate to lead an NFL offense. He’s also made his interest in New York known, from custom Giants cleats to playing catch on a New York City street with Malik Nabers. If the Giants believe he can be their long-term answer, pairing him with the right weapons will be key.
Enter Diggs. The Giants are considered a top landing spot for the veteran wide receiver, who would bring much-needed experience to a young offense. Diggs has established himself as one of the league’s best route runners, with strong hands and the ability to create separation at all levels of the field. His familiarity with head coach Brian Daboll who coached him in Buffalo adds another layer to his potential fit in New York.
One concern is Diggs’ health. He tore his ACL in Week 8 of the 2024 season, which could lower his price in free agency but also raise questions about his ability to return to form. There’s also debate over whether the Giants should prioritize other positions, given the need to strengthen their offensive line and defense. Additionally, Diggs’ locker room presence has been scrutinized in recent years, though his talent remains undeniable.
