While Josh Allen is the 2024 NFL MVP, the one for his team is no longer the quarterback.

Allen took home the league’s top individual honor at the NFL Honors ceremony. As is tradition at award shows, Allen gave a speech after winning.

Tossed into it was a mention of “Slick Rick.” The QB was thanking those around him in Buffalo for helping along the way and beyond teammates, the staffer for the Bills was mentioned.

Ironically enough, his name is not even Rick.

After Allen’s speech, Roderick Morrow–his real name–was interviewed.

In a touching conversation, Morrow, a mailroom employee at One Bills Drive, said Allen saying his nickname meant so much to him he wanted to cry.
