The Bengals have not made any comment.
2024 wasn’t the best for Cincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Jermaine Burton. The Bengals took the talented receiver in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft after character concerns caused him to slide down draft boards.
In his rookie campaign, Burton struggled to see the field. Burton was a healthy inactive for a November game against the Las Vegas Raiders after reportedly not showing up for a walkthrough. Burton was also told not to travel with the team for their finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Shortly after, we learned that Burton was accused of assaulting a woman on December 30th, but no charges were filed. It was also revealed that Burton was being evicted and sued for $2,506.33 by Radius Acquisition LLC.
Monday, court filings revealed that Burton was facing yet another eviction.

Duke Tobin went on record saying Burton has done “nothing” to earn a spot on Cincinnati’s 2025 roster. With any more negative publicity, Burton may find himself looking for another chance with a different team.
