The Kansas City Chiefs will attempt to become the first team ever to win three straight Super Bowls on Sunday. The Eagles will try not to be the book ends of the threepeat. It’s a matchup no one seems to be excited about. The focus is already on officiating before the game starts. There will be plenty of stars in the stands and the lights will be bright. Let’s take a look at a couple of fun facts.
- This will be the 11th Super Bowl New Orleans will host. That ties Miami for the most ever.
- The Caesar’s Superdome will host it’s 8th game, the most ever.
- The last time the Super Bowl was in New Orleans, there was the power outage during the Harbaugh Bowl.
- The average ticket on the secondary market is going for $10,621 and the lowest get in ticket after fees is $6,601 according to Gametime.
- This will be Fox’s 11th Super Bowl broadcast. They also aired the Eagles v the Chiefs two years ago.
- Tubi will broadcast the game for free, a Super Bowl first.
- Andy Reid is the only coach ever to win 100+ games for two separate teams.
- A 30 second ad costs $7M for early agreements and the final 10 were a reported $8M.
How I see it playing out:
I think it’s going to be a fun game, but these defenses are the true stars of the game. I actually see a fairly slow starting game and a low scoring first half. It will pick up in the second half as the teams loosen up. I will always take Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs and everything that comes along with them. I hate to admit how good of a coach Nick Sirianni is, but his QB isn’t nearly as good as Andy Reid’s.
Chiefs 27 – Eagles 23
