Organization says award is its “highest honor”
Darius Slayton of the New York Giants has been named the recipient of the 2025 Alan Page Community Award by the NFL Player’s Association.
The NFLPA describes the Page Award as it’s “highest honor.” It says:
“ … the Alan Page Community Award annually recognizes one player who demonstrates a profound dedication to positively impacting his team’s city and communities across the country, following in the spirit of Pro Football Hall of Famer, humanitarian and civil rights pioneer Alan Page.
Voters choose from five finalists.
“Winning this award means more than words can describe,” Slayton said. “The main goal for me and my family has always been to be able to give back to the people in our communities.
“It’s not about the recognition, but I accept this award with grace and humility,” he added. “I hope it brings further light to the causes my family and I support. I am extremely grateful to be named the 2025 Alan Page Community Award Winner.”
The NFLPA will donate $100,000 to Slayton’s Left-Hand Right-Hand (LHRH) Foundation. The Foundation’s website describes its mission this way:
A Christian based organization to help economically underserved communities with a focus on serving the youth and elderly. We strive to provide resources that secures materials and programming to benefit these groups.
Slayton is also the Giants’ Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee and won the 2024 Media Good Guy Award for his cooperation with media covering the team.
Slayton has been with the Giants for six seasons, but can be an unrestricted free agent next month.
