Shane Buechele will be back with the Buffalo Bills in 2025.

The quarterback has re-signed with the team via a one-year deal. The Bills announced the news over the weekend:

Buechele is no stranger to Buffalo, having spent the 2023 season as the defacto third quarterback on the practice squad.

However, his name has not been brought by the Bills in a long time because of injury. Buechele, 27, spent the 2024 season on injured reserve after injuring his neck in the preseason against the Chicago Bears.

Before he was hurt, Buechele was 6-for-10 passing with 53 yards and an interception. He added 22 yards rushing on three carries.

Buechele entered the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021 as an undrafted rookie free agent.

Eventually the Bills signed Mike White to Buechele’s QB3 spot in 2024 behind Josh Allen and Mitchell Trubisky. White was signed to a contract extension at the end of the regular season.

Both White and Trubisky are under contract for next season along with Buechele as well.
