One of the most longstanding Colts memes in franchise history has been freshly inked—and hopefully put to rest.
On Monday, Indianapolis Colts former franchise quarterback Andrew Luck appeared on Barstool Sports ‘Pardon My Take’ to discuss his abrupt retirement among other items.
While him detailing the unique timing of his shocking retirement news is interesting from back in August of 2019 —as there’s some notable personal anecdotes, particularly as it relates to telling a few of his close and most trusted teammates even before the news leaked nationally during a preseason game.
What I found most peculiar (although it was clearly in good jest), is that the Barstool ‘Pardon My Take’ team had Luck sign the Colts notorious ‘2014 AFC Finalist’ banner which had become a long-time Internet meme classic and a re-occurring ‘butt of jokes’ nationally:

The infamous Colts’ 2014 AFC Finalist banner was apparently personally gifted by longtime Indianapolis team owner Jim Irsay to ‘Barstool Big Cat’ during early August of this past year—and now becomes a truly ‘one of a kind’ piece of professional sports memorabilia for even the most avid NFL collector:

It also potentially formally closes the chapter on one of the most longstanding Colts memes in franchise history—hopefully for good. RIP.
