Quarterbacks coach reportedly back with the Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Pete Carroll as their new head coach. He is building his new staff. He has reportedly Greg Olson has quarterbacks coach.
Let’s get to know Olson again as he returns to the Raiders:
Last job:
He was the quarterbacks coach of the Seattle Seahawks under Carroll in 2023.
Age:
He will turn 62 in March.
Raiders’ history:
This will be Olson’s third stint coaching for the Raiders. He was the offensive coordinator from 2013-14 in the Dennis Allen regime and then he had the same job from 2018-21 under Jon Gruden.
Coaching experience:
He’s coached in the NFL for 22 years before not working in 2024. He is an experienced quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator.
Why the Raiders would hire him:
Carroll has experience with Olson and he clearly knows the Raiders’ organization. Now, Olson will work with new Raiders’ offensive coordinator Chip Kelly.
