“He’s the Perfect QB to Go Get”: Victor Cruz Says of Why Giants Should Sign Sam Darnold
“I think he’s the perfect QB to go get,” says Cruz in a one-on-one interview with RG of Darnold while speaking on behalf of his partnership with Finish Ultimate. “You obviously have to pay him a little bit, but I think from a cap perspective, we can afford him. I think he could come in and then Arch Manning comes in (in 2026). He doesn’t necessarily have to start right away, he can learn from a guy like Sam Darnold.”

Sanders is widely viewed as one of the top two quarterback prospects in this upcoming draft.
“Who do I think? I mean, to be honest with you, I’m a fan of Cam Ward,” Tracy told the New York Post. “I think that the passing and the running, I think that’s where the league is shifting to. Just off of [head coach Brian Daboll], his offense. We have a whole bunch of QB runs. We have a whole bunch of situations where the QB has to run. Not saying other quarterbacks in the draft can’t run. I just know Cam Ward is the best. Off of film and stuff like that.
“He’s my favorite. This is opinionated. But at the same time, whoever they choose to pick — obviously, my opinion holds zero weight. I do want to put that out there. My opinion holds zero weight.”
Carl Banks Outlines Giants’ Potential Quarterback Plan And Reveals His Super Bow LIX Prediction
“They have to really put some research in and dig and get this thing right because they do need a quarterback,” says Banks of the Giants. “They have to have a plan. If they don’t get one of the two players that are in this draft, what’s your plan? Is it Kirk Cousins? Is it any of the other free agents that are out there that could really get your team on track and get things going?
“Because they don’t have any more time, any more sand in the hour glass,” Banks continues to say. “You have to make it happen this year.”
“My guess is, if they get a free agent like Sam Donald and one of these two quarterbacks are available, they’re gonna take that quarterback too,” predicts Banks. “I think they’ll hitch their bets. But I think they’ll go after a quarterback in free agency.”
What Giants can learn from Eagles, Commanders, Chiefs, Bills
