Early 2025 breakout candidates for every NFL team | PFF
As part of a loaded 2024 draft class, S Tyler Nubin shined with a 76.0 PFF run-defense grade and a 79.4 PFF tackling grade. Ironically, his issues arose in coverage, where he was unbelievable in 2023 at Minnesota, with a 90.1 PFF coverage grade. Anticipate Nubin playing a more complete game in his second season, particularly if New York can upgrade its cornerback room.

2025 NFL draft: Big questions for teams with top-10 picks | ESPN.com
Are the Giants more likely to address their QB spot in the draft or free agency? Their plan entering this past season was to draft a quarterback if it didn’t work out with Daniel Jones. But the timing of it all following Jones’ release in November could dictate that the Giants address the position in both free agency and the draft. They will likely need a strong contingency from free agency in March, just in case they can’t get a quarterback at the top of the draft. Remember, Mara made it clear the pressure is on to produce in 2025.
Why the Giants’ offensive train wreck hasn’t kept Mike Kafka off the NFL coaching radar | New York Post
What is going on with Mike Kafka? A great deal, as is turns out.
The troubling downturn for the Giants and their offense the past two years seemingly has not touched or damaged Kafka’s reputation. He lost some standing and responsibilities, but it appears he is in high demand in NFL circles. And, guess what? He could return to the Giants and reclaim the play-calling responsibilities.
NFL Draft 2025: How Mike Kafka (and Joe Schoen’s top lieutenant) could help Giants’ rebuild by leaving | NJ.com
Based on the Rooney Rule’s language, if the Giants lose one of these two men (Brown or Kafka), they would get a compensatory third-round draft pick in both 2025 and 2026. If the Giants lose both, they would get an extra such comp pick in 2027 — but not a fourth such comp pick in 2028. So if Brown and Kafka depart, the Giants would have three straight years (2025-27) of a third-round comp pick as a result.
Best landing spots for PFF’s top 15 free agents: Offense | PFF
11. WR Stefon Diggs, Houston Texans, PFF Grade: 82.4 Best Landing Spot: New York Giants
Prior to tearing his ACL in Week 8, Diggs showed no signs of slowing, on pace to produce his 10th straight campaign with a 77.0-plus PFF receiving grade. Pairing Diggs’ experience with Malik Nabers would provide a young passer with quality weapons in the receiving game and ample opportunity to produce quickly.
