News on who’s in and who’s out.

The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2024 NFL Week 1 game against the Green Bay Packers.

The following Eagles players WILL NOT PLAY: Devin White, Isaiah Rodgers, Tanner McKee, Darian Kinnard, Trevor Keegan, Byron Young, and Jalyx Hunt.

White suffered an ankle injury in practice earlier this week and did not travel with the team to Brazil. The Eagles figure to start Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean at linebacker. It’ll be interesting to see if any/all of Oren Burks, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., and Ben VanSumeren mix in.

Rodgers was ruled out on Thursday’s final injury report after being limited in practice all week due to a hand injury. It seems like the Eagles will start Darius Slay and Quinyon Mitchell on the outside with Mitchell moving inside to play the slot in nickel packages … and Kelee Ringo coming in to play the boundary. It’s also possible that Mitchell remains on the outside and Avonte Maddox comes in to play nickel cornerback. We’ll see.

Under the NFL’s third quarterback rule, McKee is only allowed to play if both Jalen Hurts AND Kenny Pickett leave the game due to injury.

Kinnard and Keegan are healthy scratches with eight other offensive lineman active ahead of them.

Young is a healthy scratch as the sixth defensive tackle. He also only joined the roster a little over one week ago.

Hunt is a healthy scratch as the sixth edge rusher. Hunt looked more advanced than expected in training camp but Patrick Johnson is more of a proven commodity at this point in time. Hunt also missed some practice time due to an oblique injury, though he wasn’t on the injury report this week.

Nick Gates and E.J. Jenkins are obviously both active after being temporarily elevated from the practice squad. Jenkins is playing in his first-ever NFL regular season game.

Wilson and Kraft are both active.
