MOAR FOOTBALL!
The first pair of NFL playoff games for 2024 are in the books, and today we’ve got a tripleheader for your consumption as Super Wild Card Weekend continues.
Our first game of the day will cap off the AFC side of the bracket as the Denver Broncos will travel to Western New York to take on the Buffalo Bills. This game will be broadcast on CBS with things kicking off at noon Central time. If the Bills win this one, they will host the Baltimore Ravens next week while the Houston Texans will travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs. If Denver can pull the upset, then they’ll travel to Kansas City in the Divisional round and Houston will head to Baltimore.
The second game of the day will kick off at 3:30 PM Central time and be broadcast on FOX as the Green Bay Packers will take on the Philadelphia Eagles. If the Packers should find a way to win this one, they’ll be heading to Detroit next week for a Divisional playoff game. If the Eagles win, they will host the highest-remaining seed in the NFC next week. Yes, I know we might like to see them both lose, but in the playoffs that can’t happen.
The final game of this tripleheader will be shown on NBC starting at 7:00 PM Central and feature the Washington Commanders hitting the road to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We won’t know who the winner of this one will play until the other results are in, so we can’t speculate at the moment. However, this one should be a pretty good game, I think.
Here’s how we’re picking this one, courtesy of the folks from Tallysight. As always, we remind you that each individual selector might have different odds for this games depending on when they made their picks. For the latest on any NFL game, you can check in with our friends from FanDuel. I suppose it works for other sporting events, too, but who cares about those right now?
If you’re going to be watching the games today, here’s a spot where you can hang out and talk about them with your fellow Minnesota Vikings fans.
Enjoy today’s action, everyone. . .and, yes, our game will get played eventually.
