Be careful, Raiders
Here are three thoughts on that interest:
Over Johnson?
The Raiders reportedly have had interviews with three candidates: Aaron Glenn, Ben Johnson and Steve Spagnuolo and reportedly will talk to Pete Carroll, Todd Monken and Robert Saleh in the coming days with more possible interviews to come. NFL Media reported Saturday that the Raiders and part own Tom Brady and the Raiders covet Johnson, who is considered a top prize in this cycle. If Johnson covets the Raiders, in my opinion, he should be the choice above Sanders and it’s not even a close consideration. I would rank multiple of the above names over Sanders as well.
No sure things he would get his wish:
It would be foolish for anyone, the Raiders included, to think hiring Sanders would definitely mean they will get the chance to draft his son, quarterback Sheduer Sanders. He is considered a top quarterback prospect in a weak class. the Raiders pick sixth, The teams with the top three picks, the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants all need a quarterback. So, it would cost a ton for the Raiders, a team with a lot of needs, for them to write Sheduer Sanders’ name on their draft card.
Brady likes son:
Brady is reportedly close with Sheduer Sanders, so perhaps he and the Raiders consider this possibility.
Buckle up:
This shit is just starting. The process could get wild.
