Eagles-Packers Final Injury Report: A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith will play

Wild Card game status updates.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Wild Card playoff game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Eagles ruled two players OUT: Trevor Keegan and Byron Young.

Keegan did not participate in practice this week due to illness. The rookie offensive lineman would’ve been a healthy scratch even if he was healthy enough to play.

The Eagles opened Young’s 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve earlier this week. Young was a full participant in practice all week but the team clearly isn’t in a rush to activate the depth defensive tackle.

Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, Lane Johnson, Kenny Pickett, Nakobe Dean, Dallas Goedert, Grant Calcaterra, Bryce Huff, and Will Shipley are all set to play despite appearing on the injury report this week.

Earlier on Friday, Nick Sirianni announced Hurts cleared the concussion protocol. Hurts also had media availability for the first time since suffering his head injury in Week 16. He’s ready to play.

Brown was a full participant in Friday’s practice after being limited on Wednesday and not practicing on Thursday. Speaking after practice, Brown admitted that he’s banged up but it won’t prevent him from playing.

Smith did not practice on Friday due to back tightness. He’s officially listed with “back/rest” on the injury report. The Eagles seemingly wanted to take it easy with Smith to make sure he’s ready for Sunday. Not ideal for both Brown and Smith to be less than 100% but certainly better to have them out there than not at all.

Johnson got some rest this week. He’s ready to play.

Pickett was limited in practice all week due to broken ribs. Despite this, he’s listed without a game status and will likely be Hurts’ backup with a fully healthy Tanner McKee inactive as the emergency third quarterback.

Dean, Goedert, Calcaterra, and Huff fully participated in practice all week. They’re ready to play.

Shipley was limited on Wednesday and Thursday before being upgraded to full on Friday. The Eagles will have their third running back for Sunday’s game.

The Eagles placed Jack Driscoll on injured reserve earlier on Friday.

Driscoll was serving as the Eagles’ eighth offensive lineman on game day. That role could now go to Nick Gates.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

OUT

OG Trevor Keegan (illness)
DT Byron Young (hamstring)

RESERVE/INJURED

DB James Bradberry IV
OT Le’Raven Clark
OL Jack Driscoll
DE Brandon Graham
TE C.J. Uzomah
FB/LB Ben VanSumeren
DT Byron Young (practice window open)

The Eagles opened Young’s 21-day practice window to return from IR on January 8. Bradberry is eligible to be activated if/when the Eagles desire to activate him, which isn’t looking likely. Graham might be out for the season due to a triceps injury, though he didn’t totally rule out a chance of him playing in the Super Bowl. Uzomah is only eligible to return if the Eagles make it to the Super Bowl. BVS is out for the season due to a knee injury. Driscoll is out for the season with an ankle injury. Clark is out for the season since he was placed on IR back in May.

GREEN BAY PACKERS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

The Packers ruled two players OUT: starting wide receiver Christian Watson and depth safety/special teams standout Zayne Anderson.

Watson is the Packers’ best big play threat. Their offense will miss him.

Anderson ranks tied for the most special teams tackles on the Packers this season. His absence could be a sneaky loss for them.

The Packers ruled five players QUESTIONABLE: starting nose tackle T.J. Slaton, starting linebacker Quay Walker, third safety Evan Williams, backup tackle Andre Dillard, and depth defensive lineman Brenton Cox Jr.

Slaton missed Wednesday’s practice before being limited on Thursday and Friday. If he can’t play, the Packers will be without one of their best run defenders.

Walker, Williams, and Cox were limited in practice all week. Perhaps they’ll be game-time decisions.

Dillard was upgraded to full participation on Friday, so, he’ll likely be available.

OUT

S Zayne Anderson (concussion)
WR Christian Watson (knee)

QUESTIONABLE

DL Brenton Cox Jr. (foot)
OT Andre Dillard (concussion)
DL T.J. Slaton (ankle)
LB Quay Walker (ankle)
S Evan Williams (quadricep)

RESERVE/INJURED

CB Jaire Alexander
TE Tyler Davis
RB AJ Dillon
RB MarShawn Lloyd
OL Jordan Morgan
