Injury designations ahead of Sunday night’s showdown
The Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions have issued their final injury reports ahead of Sunday night’s showdown. Here they are:
Minnesota Vikings
- OLB Pat Jones II, knee, OUT
- LB Kamu Grugier-Hill, Illness, QUESTIONABLE
- CB Fabian Moreau, Hip, QUESTIONABLE
No surprise Pat Jones is out for the Lions game, and I wouldn’t be surprised if one or both of Grugier-Hill and Moreau are active on Sunday night as well.
Detroit Lions
- RB David Montgomery, Knee, OUT
- CB Emmanuel Moseley, Illness, OUT
- LB Alex Anzalone, Forearm, QUESTIONABLE
- WR Kalif Raymond, Foot, QUESTIONABLE
- RB Craig Reynolds, Back, QUESTIONABLE
No surprise David Montgomery is out for Sunday’s game for the Lions. Moseley being out was a bit of a surprise, but he wasn’t getting reps anyway.
Based on Dan Campbell’s comments about Anzalone today, it’s more doubtful Anzalone will play. The routine with the Lions is to get a full week of practice for players coming off of IR, and then activate them the following week. Anzalone had his first practices this week, so more likely he doesn’t play until the playoffs.

Kalif Raymond, on the other hand, practiced last week and seems more likely to be activated from IR and play on Sunday. The Lions released WR Tom Kennedy earlier this week signaling Raymond may be activated.
Lastly, RB Craig Reynolds was added to the Lions’ injury list today and did not practice with a back injury. That makes him more doubtful for Sunday night, which would leave the Lions thin at RB behind Jahmyr Gibbs.
We’ll see on Sunday who the inactives are for each team, but I would not be surprised if Anzalone does not play for the Lions.
