Another Saturday game had the Cincinnati Bengals back on the practice field Tuesday, gearing up for a big AFC North clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers. With a few injuries to monitor, we got some insight into the outlook for some players this week.
The Bengals held a walkthrough Tuesday, so the injury report is an estimation on what a player’s status would be had they held a full practice.
Quarterback Joe Burrow (wrist/knee) would have been limited.
Running back Chase Brown (ankle) was listed as a non-participant. After injuring his ankle against the Denver Broncos, the Bengals said they are “hopeful” Brown will be able to play Saturday night.
Offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (fibula) was listed as limited. Brown said after the Week 17 win against Denver that he’s playing on a broken leg.
Amarius Mims (ankle/hand) is listed as limited. Mims started last week with a sore ankle and broken hand before being replaced by Devin Cochrane, who missed Tuesday’s practice for a non-injury-related personal reason.
Tee Higgins (ankle/knee) was also listed as limited, coming off of his monster performance in Week 17.
Defensive tackle Kris Jenkins Jr. (knee), receiver Charlie Jones (groin), and tight end Tanner Hudson (knee) were also listed as limited participants.
Tight end Drew Sample (groin) was also listed as a DNP, joining Sam Hubbard (knee).
For Pittsburgh, quarterback Russel Wilson and guard Issac Seumalo got rest days, but the report shows Wilson did participate on a limited basis.
Running back Jaylen Warren (ribs) was limited.
