Where does Saquon Barkley to the Eagles rank?
This has been a year to forget for the New York Giants. It did, though, happen. So, with 2025 approaching let’s take a look back at the stories of 2024 that Giants fans seemed to care about the most. Below, the most widely read posts of the calendar year here at Big Blue View. I am certain some of what is, and is not, on the list will surprise you.
No. 1 — Giants 2024 undrafted free agent tracker
Of course the most widely read post of the year at Big Blue View had something to do with the 2024 NFL Draft. It had nothing, though, to do with the selection of Malik Nabers at No. 6. It had nothing to do with the Giants’ decision not to select a quarterback.
It was our post-draft tracker of the undrafted players who landed contracts with the Giants. In the end, the only undrafted player who has had any impact on the team is defensive tackle Elijah Chatman, and he did not land a contract until after he impressed during a rookie minicamp tryout.
No. 2 — Giants’ QB Daniel Jones makes NFL history with unbelievable halftime stat line
Daniel Jones made some odd NFL history Week 9 against the Washington Commanders when he threw a first-half touchdown pass while not accumulating any passing yards. That had never been done before.
‘Kudos’, by the way, to BBV contributor Sam Kirk. This was his headline, and it’s brilliant.
No. 3 — Giants, Panthers finalize Brian Burns trade, per reports
Scroll through the comments of that post. The reaction was … interesting.
No. 4 — New York Giants 2024 free agency tracker: News, rumors, signings, trades, updates, more
No surprise here. Free agency is something fans look forward to for months. Refreshing … and refreshing … and refreshing for news is something that we have known happens for a long time.
No. 5 — Giants roster cuts tracker 2024: Tracking New York’s moves to 53-man roster limit
Another tracker. Ask yourself something: Considering how the roster began to change a day later and in unrecognizable from what it was at the end of August, does what the initial roster look like even matter?
No. 6 — Saquon Barkley signs with the Philadelphia Eagles — what it means for the Giants
This was the biggest news of the year. If we were ranking the top 10 stories, Barkley to the Eagles would be No. 1.
No. 7 — New York Giants practice squad signings tracker 2024
Another roster tracker. These things rule!
No. 8 — Trades by the Vikings and Chargers complicate the Top 5 – What does it mean for the Giants?
A draft analysis from Chris Pflum. Was it on target?
No. 9 — New York Giants 2024 coaching tracker
We tracked the changes to Brian Daboll’s staff. Gee, there won’t be any interest in something like this in 2025 if the Giants move on from Daboll. Will there?
No. 10 —Daniel Jones released by New York Giants
In the minds of many, the tank has been on ever since.
