Rookie Tanner McLachlan is active for the first time in his NFL career today.
The Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns have announced their inactive players for the Week 16 game at Paycor Stadium.
For the Bengals, here’s who will be out today:
- Logan Woodside QB
- Charlie Jones WR
- Orlando Brown Jr. OT
- Tanner Hudson TE
- Sam Hubbard DE
- Sheldon Rankins DT
Brown will miss another week, which means Cody Ford will once again suit up at left tackle. Hudson being inactive allows the Bengals to possibly give rookie Tanner McLachlan his first snaps of the season since he’s active for the first time.
For the Browns, here’s who will be out today:
- Jameis Winson QB
- Cedric Tillman WR
- Kahlef Hailassie CB
- Chigozie Anusiem CB
- Brenden Bates TE
- Shelby Harris DT
- Cameron Thomas DE
The Browns made a quarterback move prior to Week 16, making the move from Winston to Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Today, though, they elevated former third-string QB Bailey Zappe to back up DTR should the need arise.
This is just another game for the Browns, but for the Bengals, every game is a playoff game. If they win today, they will keep their slim playoff hopes alive. If they don’t, then it doesn’t matter what happens down the stretch.
