The schedule has not changed for Minnesota
The National Football League has just announced the schedule for Week 17 and, in a mild surprise, one of the premier games on the schedule that week will stay right where it’s at.
Week 17 will feature the return match for this season between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium. The game has been schedule for noon Central time since the schedule was released in May, and that’s precisely where it will stay.
The NFL has managed to find a way to dominate Christmas week, as you’ll see when we lay out the schedule below. The games that week will start on Wednesday with a pair of games, followed by Thursday Night Football, a tripleheader on Saturday, the usual Sunday slate, and Monday Night Football.
Here’s the full schedule for Week 17, as just released by the league. All times Central time.

Monday, 30 December

The original Sunday night game was the Dolphins/Browns game, but the league made the decision to move the Falcons/Commanders matchup there instead.
Pray for Scott Hanson’s sanity because that’s a pretty bleak late window on Sunday afternoon.
UPDATE: Per Kevin Seifert of ESPN, the league could still move this matchup to the late window if they want. They have until a week from today to make that decision. They can not move it to Sunday Night Football or Monday Night Football at this point.
We won’t know the Week 18 schedule until after the Week 17 slate is in the books and whether or not the season finale at Ford Field between the Vikings and the Lions will be the Sunday Night Football matchup that week.
If any more changes do take place that affect the Vikings, we will let you know right away.
