Week 15 concludes with two “Monday Night Football” games, as the Bears face the Vikings, and the Falcons take on the Raiders. Come chat with us in our open thread.

The NFL closes out Week 15 with two “Monday Night Football” games being played on ABC and ESPN. Detroit Lions fans will likely want to turn in to ABC, as the Chicago Bears will play at the Minnesota Vikings, while the Atlanta Falcons will play at Las Vegas Raiders on ESPN.

Bears at Vikings

The Bears (4-9) enter the game looking to improve under interim head coach Thomas Brown. Brown took over interim offensive coordinator duties a month ago and had an immediate positive impact, but his one game after being promoted to interim head coach left Chicago fans wanting more.

While the Bears are playing for pride, the Vikings (11-2) have a lot to play for in this game. They’ll not only be looking to close the gap on the Lions (12-2, No. 1 seed in NFC, and 1st place in the NFC North), but they’ll also want to keep some distance between them and the Packers (10-4)

The folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook are heavily favoring Minnesota in this game with the betting line being set at Vikings -7 points.

Prediction: Vikings 28-18

Here’s how to watch tonight’s “Monday Night Football” game:

Date: Monday, December 16, 2024
Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
Location: US Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota
TV: ABC
ABC Announcers: Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Lisa Salters (field reporter)
Online Streaming: ESPN+, ESPN APP, NFL Sunday Ticket via YouTube, NFL+ Premium

Falcons at Raiders

The Falcons (6-7) are two games back of the Buccaneers (8-5) in the NFC South, and a win over the Raiders (2-11) would keep them in the thick of the race for the division title—with the Giants, Commanders, and Panthers left on their schedule. If the Falcons catch the Bucs on the standings, they’ll win the division, as they hold the tiebreaker over the Bucs after winning both head-to-head matchups.

The Raiders will surely be playing for pride, but their fans likely already have eyes on the postseason. Heading into this game, the Raiders hold the No. 2 pick in the NFL draft, and depending on the outcome, they could move quite a bit. If they lose, they would move into a tie with the Giants for the worst record in the NFL, and would temporarily hold the No. 1 pick due to strength of schedule. If the Raiders win, they would drop all the way down to the No. 7 slot.

The folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook are favoring Atlanta in this game with the betting line being set at Falcons -5.5 points.

Prediction: Falcons 24-17
