Fire everyone? Giants’ Darius Slayton: ‘It just doesn’t feel like there’s going to be any changes’ | NJ.com
Could the Giants actually keep general manager Joe Schoen and coach Brian Daboll even if they finish 2-15, with 12 straight losses to close the franchise’s 100th season?
For what it’s worth, wide receiver Darius Slayton thinks it’s possible — though he doesn’t claim to know anything official.

They have now lost nine straight games and are on the verge of becoming the first team ever to go 0-9 at home after being dominated by the Ravens. They’ll be underdogs in the final three weeks at Atlanta, versus Indianapolis and at Philadelphia. Twelve straight losses to end the season is not out of the question. This latest defeat does keep the Giants in pole position for the No. 1 pick. They came into Sunday with a 41% chance at the top pick. It jumped to 48% with the loss.

Devin Singletary ‘surprised’ how he’s turned into a Giants afterthought | New York Post
Singletary started the first four games, missed two games with a strained groin and upon his return to health has been a less-than-part-time backup to rookie Tyrone Tracy.
“Yeah, I’m surprised,’’ Singletary told The Post. “That’s just where we are right now…“[A two-back system] definitely can work. I don’t call the plays, I don’t make that decision. This is the first year I feel this great in December. That’s just what’s been going on this year. Not used to it, I don’t plan on getting used to it but that’s just where we’re at right now.’’

Giants still aiming for wins while fans salivate over chance at top draft pick: ‘It sucks’ | New York Post
When there is nothing to cheer about, fans often take to booing. Leave it to the Giants of 2024 to take this basic truism and turn it upside down.
With this team, something bad happens, delight ensues. Welcome to the alternate reality where losing is welcomed and winning is nearly impossible.
“It sucks that that’s kind of the mindset of fans,’’ said tight end Daniel Bellinger , “but I understand why the fans are like that.’’
“He’s a guy who could come here and really transform things.”

NY Giants’ only hope to change their franchise for good: Get the QB | The Record

Schoen has also scouted Ward in person this season with the pre-draft evaluation process kicking into high gear after the college and NFL regular seasons.

“I just know if they get a chance to get me, they’re going to get everything I have,” the Heisman Trophy finalist told reporters on Friday. “They’d be getting that dude. They’d be getting somebody who’s someone who doesn’t care about anything — just how he moves, how he operates on and off the field, is confident, somebody who’s going to challenge himself more than he challenges the team. At the end of the day, wins mean everything. You’re getting a winner.”
