A fan again sends a hard-to-miss message
For the second week in a row, a plane flew above MetLife Stadium before a New York Giants home game carrying a plea for Giants co-owner John Mara to make sweeping changes.
This one read:
“Mr. Mara enough — We won’t stop until you fire everyone.”
The plane passed over the stadium twice roughly 90 minutes before the 2-11 Giants were too host the Baltimore Ravens. There were a handful of players from both teams on the field warming up.
A week ago, the message for Mara was “Mr. Mara enough … plz. fix this dumpster fire.”
That was the first time since 1978 that a place seeking change flew above the stadium.
Last week against the New Orleans Saints, some fans attending the game also wore paper bags over their heads as the Giants lost, 14-11.
The Giants are 0-7 this season at home and could become the first team in NFL history to go 0-9 at home. If they lose their remaining four games, they would also suffer the first 15-loss season in franchise history.
