Update on injury statuses for Monday night’s matchup
The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears have issued their second injury reports of the week leading up to their Monday night matchup. Here they are:
Minnesota Vikings
- CB Stephon Gilmore, Hamstring, DNP (did not practice)
- OLB Andrew Van Ginkel, Hip, Full
- RB Aaron Jones Sr., Back, Full
- OLB Pat Jones II, Knee, Full
- TE Josh Oliver, Wrist/Knee, Full
Everyone upgraded to full participants in Friday’s practice for the Vikings except Stephon Gilmore, who didn’t practice again and appears unlikely to play on Monday against the Bears.
Chicago Bears
- OT Ryan Bates, Concussion, DNP
- CB Josh Blackwell, Shoulder, Limited
- DT Gervon Dexter Sr., Knee, DNP
- RB Roschon Johnson, Concussion, DNP
- RB D’Andre Swift, Groin, DNP
- S Elijah Hicks, Ankle, Limited
- RB Travis Homer, Head, Full
- TE Marcedes Lewis, Vet Rest, DNP
Only one upgrade for the Bears- Josh Blackwell went from DNP to limited on Friday. That casts serious doubt on whether starters Gervon Dexter and D’Andre Swift will be available for Monday night’s game at US Bank Stadium. Losing both guys would be a blow for the Bears on both sides of the ball. Backup RB Roschon Johnson also still not practicing is a problem for the Bears too.
We’ll learn final injury designations tomorrow, but it looks like the Bears could be without a few starters on Monday night.
