Hopefully this keeps the duo in Cincinnati for the long haul.
The Cincinnati Bengals potentially got a small dose of good news on Friday when it was reported that wide receiver Tee Higgins, who is playing the current year on the franchise tag, has signed a new agent.
That agent is Rocky Arceneaux, who also happens to represent fellow Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, according to Kelsey Conway.
Higgins and the Bengals were unable to come to a long-term agreement to keep the former second-round pick in Cincinnati for the long term, which forced the team to use their franchise tag on him. That gave him a fully guaranteed $21.8 million, but it also meant it was likely Higgins’ last season in Cincinnati.
However, when the news broke that Higgins and his former agent, David Mulugheta, parted ways, paired with Joe Burrow’s comments about needing the team to figure a way to keep both wide receivers in Cincinnati, there may be renewed hope that Burrow, Chase, and Higgins could be a trio for several more seasons.
