NY Giants: The quest to find a new franchise quarterback begins | The Record
“Basically what it’s going to come down to, if the Giants get the No. 1 pick, are you comfortable taking that risk with a player like Cam Ward or do you want to play it safe with Shedeur? That’s what Schoen and Daboll, if they’re the guys making the decision, that’s what they’re gonna have to decide,” Reid said. “Do you play it safe Shedeur or do you swing for the home run with a guy like Cam Ward? That’s where we are now, but we still have four months to go.”
WR Malik Nabers not concerned about who plays quarterback
“We both know the playbook, so I don’t feel like it’s hard at all. But just another hill you’ve got to climb over.”

2025 NFL Mock Draft: Giants start over with Shedeur Sanders | CBSSports.com
2. Shedeur Sanders QB, Colorado. Deion Sanders would probably prefer his son go to the Raiders or Giants, as opposed to some of the other options often mentioned. In this scenario, Shedeur Sanders is taken No. 2 overall. The Giants would not consider employing his father as coach, would they?
Giants’ Malik Nabers has history with potential No. 1 pick Shedeur Sanders| New York Post
Malik Nabers and Shedeur Sanders were on opposite teams in the finals of a 7-on-7 tournament during a football camp hosted by Shedeur’s father — Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.
“Me and him are in the same class, and it was always like I’m aware of my competition,” Nabers said after Wednesday’s practice. “He wasn’t in competition with me, but it was just the fact that it was Deion Sanders and Deion Sanders’ son so you always wanted to watch what those guys were doing. They did it at a high level wherever they went, so it’s amazing and impressive to see what he has done.”
2025 NFL draft: What to know for all 32 teams, early needs | ESPN.com
It’s all about the quarterback position for the Giants this offseason, specifically in the draft. They already flirted with taking a quarterback in the 2024 draft and cut Daniel Jones several weeks ago. It’s not an accident that general manager Joe Schoen and his top lieutenants have made multiple trips to check on Shedeur Sanders at Colorado and have already had multiple looks at Miami quarterback Cam Ward.
Which New York NFL team is the bigger mess? Giants or Jets? | The Athletic
OK, excluding quarterback, which roster has the most heavy lifting to do to become playoff-caliber?
Giants: While there are some high-quality players on the roster, they don’t have nearly enough to feel good about the foundation. Assuming the Giants emerge with a top pick and don’t fall in love with any of the quarterbacks, they could go the route of trading down, collecting more draft picks and filling out the roster that way. The team also isn’t in bad shape in terms of cap space, with about $58 million next year, according to Over The Cap, so they could plug some holes through free agency.
Brian Daboll not worrying about the future
Brian Daboll was asked if he thinks he has something to prove to Giants ownership in the final weeks of the season:

In choosing UNC, Bill Belichick chose himself | ESPN.com
Maybe the Giants, where he had spent the ’80s, could work, but Belichick knew that it would be a rebuild, with the New York press at his heels. Plus, he believes the team would do best to retain its current coach, Brian Daboll.
Ravens favored by 16.5 over Giants, biggest point spread in NFL this season | Pro Football Talk
Baltimore is currently favored by 16.5 points at most sports books, with the spread moving a couple points in the Ravens’ direction today following the news that Tommy Devito is poised to start at quarterback for the Giants this week in place of the injured Drew Lock. That 16.5-point spread is the biggest in the NFL this year.
The Lions were 14-point favorites over the Jaguars in Week 11, which was previously the biggest spread in the NFL this season. The Lions easily covered that spread, winning 52-6.

Giants ILB Micah McFadden Quietly Having Career Year | SI.com
McFadden, a fifth-round draft pick out of Indiana in 2022 (pick No. 146), is currently having the best season of his young NFL career. His 91 total tackles currently rank third on the team, two behind Bobby Okereke’s 93 and six behind safety Tyler Nubin, the team leader just placed on injured reserve.

Brutal Wan’Dale Robinson trend points to a more insidious Giants problem | New York Post
Wan’Dale Robinson is the worst at something he is supposed to be one of the best at. Welcome to the sickness that infects the Giants’ passing game. “I definitely would always like to be on the move catching the ball.”
NFL Week 15 Preview: Schedule, storylines and matchups to watch | PFF.com
Giants QB Tommy DeVito vs. Ravens coverage. Hoping to find something to spark this offense, HC Brian Daboll turns back to Tommy DeVito, who had been dealing with a forearm injury. Drew Lock was a liability in his limited time under center, totaling five turnover-worthy plays in two starts. Even still, DeVito isn’t much of a step in the right direction considering he’s recorded just a 51.8 passing grade.
Baltimore’s coverage unit has struggled at times this season but is currently undergoing a revival, showing marked improvement in recent weeks. Since Week 11, this defense has limited opposing offenses to the lowest EPA per pass average in the NFL, permitting just 6.6 yards per coverage target — the second lowest in the league.

Storylines to Watch As Ravens Make Playoff Push | BaltimoreRavens.com
Assistant Head Coach and Pass Game Coordinator Chris Hewitt said the Ravens have ‘simplified’ their schemes in recent weeks, which has helped their defense hold four of their past five opponents to 202 yards passing or fewer. But the Ravens’ more conventional play calls might be a double-edged sword, limiting big plays for both teams. Since Week 9, the Ravens have just two interceptions and have forced just five turnover-worthy passes.”
