There are no cool stats. I normally pull those from the Minnesota Vikings media releases. I did the little bit of research on my own since they don’t play that often.
How I See it Playing Out
This is a matchup of the top two scoring offenses. The Lions are 2nd in the NFL with 395 yards per game and 1st in scoring with 32.1 PPG. The Bills are 10th in yards with 355 yards per game and 2nd in scoring with 30.5 PPG. The difference is on defense. The Lions are 10th in the NFL with 319 yards per game allowed and 3rd in scoring, allowing 18.0 PPG. The Bills are 14th in the NFL with 332 yards per game allowed and 8th in scoring with 20.6 PPG allowed. That would point to the Lions winning at home in a one or close two score game. However, the Lions are getting a little beat up on defense. It’s been a long season already for them and they’re getting everyone’s best shot. A lot of their defensive prowess is based on building a lead and teams becoming one dimensional. I expect Josh Allen to be ready to show why he’s the MVP this year. I might be a homer, but I am calling for the upset. Bills win their 5th straight game against the Lions.
