The Giants probably won’t win out, but can they win one or two more games?
It’s been one thing after another for the New York Giants.
After a nightmare season in which just about everything that could go wrong has gone wrong, the Giants are sitting at 2-11 with the best odds in the NFL to secure the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Giants have four games remaining — against the Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, and Philadelphia Eagles — but will they win any of them?
The Giants are heavy underdogs against the Ravens, who’ve been focused on this game since losing to the Eagles prior to their bye week.
The Falcons and Colts, however, are another story.
The Falcons are vying for the NFC South crown, but Kirk Cousins has struggled mightily over their four-game losing streak. He’s thrown eight interceptions, fumbled four times, been sacked eight times, and thrown zero touchdown passes over the last four games. The Falcons have said that Cousins remains their starter, but that could change if he has another bad game against the Raiders this week.
The Colts, meanwhile, are a flawed team as well and will less than a 10% chance of making the playoffs if they lose to the Broncos this weekend. That would make their Week 16 game against the Giants a must-win game at home. Anthony Richardson has rallied the team in each of the last two weeks, but we don’t know how they’ll react if their backs are against the wall.
Finally, the Eagles have clinched the playoffs, but they could be playing for the number one seed and a first round bye in the final week of the season. Will they be looking to finish the season emphatically, or rest their players if they can’t get that bye week?
So, will the Giants win any more games this year? If so, how many?
