The 2-11 New York Giants, amidst an eight-game losing streak and 0-7 at MetLife Stadium this season, host the 8-5 Baltimore Ravens on Sunday (1 p.m. ET/CBS). The Giants are massive 14.5-point underdogs, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
A loss on Sunday and the Giants will tie the franchise record for consecutive losses in a season. The 1966, 1976, 2003, 2004 and 2019 Giants all lost nine straight games. If the Giants lose to the Ravens and then to the Colts in Week 17 they would become the first team in NFL history to go 0-9 at home. Several teams have gone 0-8, but the 17-game schedule now gives teams a chance to play nine home games every other year.
The Giants are also on track to lose the most games in franchise history. The Giants lost 13 games in 2017 and 2021.
The consolation to all of that is that the Giants are careening toward the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. Per Tankathon, they currently have the No. 2 pick. Pro Football Network, though, gives the Giants a 38.9% chance of getting the top pick, best of any team.
This week, the Giants face a Ravens team that is headed toward the playoffs for the sixth time in seven seasons despite not playing as well as a year ago, when Baltimore went 13-4. The Ravens are coming off a bye week.
