The Rams upset the Bills on and brought new life to their season
After the Rams’ upset of the Buffalo Bills, Sean McVay declared he saw “really good football”, especially on the offensive side in L.A.’s huge 44-42 victory at home. The head coach reflected how proud he was of his players, tipped his cap to Josh Allen and the Bills, and surmised that it is “cool to be able to play meaningful football in December.”
McVay is still a young head coach, but he’s had winning seasons and losing seasons. The head coach certainly doesn’t take for granted what his team has overcome this season to sit at a 7-6 record with a chance to win the NFC West in the coming weeks.
“Our guys found a way to be able to make enough plays to be able to come out on top.”
LA’s win over the Bills on Sunday was big for their chances to play into January, and their win against the Bills shows that the Rams have a shot at the best teams in the NFL. Will the Rams be able to keep it going to beat the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday?
“We’ve got a great opportunity against the 9ers. We know what a great opponent they are and we’ve gotta be ready to roll on Thursday night against them.”
On Sunday the Rams showed they can play the complementary football that the head coach is always looking for. LA led 24-10 at halftime after touchdowns from the offense, special teams and big time stops by LA’s defense to take control.

In the second half, LA had to close out the game against a great team, and they did. The head coach talked about what he thought he saw from his offense and overall McVay was pleased.
“That feels like really good football. High level execution. You’re able to get both phases going in terms of your run and your pass. I thought the offensive line was able to get into a rhythm.”
LA started the season slow, but now they are practically in the driver’s seat with three NFC West matchups awaiting. No, LA didn’t play a perfect game in Week 14, but they did enough to win. Can they do enough to win in Week 15?
