Another quarterback injury
UPDATE
According to Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz, Aidan O’Connell’s knee injury is feared to be season-ending. So, Desmond Ridder will be the starter for the rest of the year, and undrafted rookie Carter Bradley will likely get called up from the practice squad to be the backup unless the Raiders bring someone else in this week.

The Las Vegas Raiders’ nightmare season at quarterback continued Sunday at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Las Vegas quarterback Aidan O’Connell was ruled out of the game with a knee injury shortly after he was carted to the locker room late in the third quarter. He also had an air cast put on his leg.
O’Connell was hit on a pass play late in the third quarter with the Raiders losing 14-10. It is usually not a good sign when a player is ruled out quickly as O’Connell was. There are only four games remaining, so O’Connell’s season could be in jeopardy.
After the game, Raiders coach Antonio Pierce said O’Connell’s injury “didn’t look good.”
He returned in Week 13 after missing four games with a broken thumb. Gardner Minshew, who O’Connell replaced as the starter in October, broken his collarbone in Week 12 and is out for the season.
Desmond Ridder, who was signed to the practice squad earlier this season and who has been the backup because of the injuries, took over for O’Connell on Sunday.
He could start next Monday night against the Atlanta Flacons, who he started started 17 games games for in 2022-23 after being a third-round pick in 2022. He was traded to the Arizona Cardinals this year and was cut in training camp.
The Raiders could also promote Carter Bradley from the practice squad.
