Detroit Legend Calvin Johnson joined the “Up & Adams Show” with Kay Adams to discuss the Lions’ most recent win, their “chip on our shoulder” energy, and much more.
It’s funny to think about someone like Detroit Lions legend Calvin Johnson going through some of the same emotions as fans do. I mean, this guy is a Hall of Famer and one of the best to ever do it, yet he is still sweating out fourth-down conversions like most of us do.
Johnson joined Kay Adams on, “Up & Adams,” to discuss Lions coach Dan Campbell’s playcalling, having a day in Michigan dedicated to him, and much more during the 15-minute interview.
“People have been talking down on us for so long, ya know,” Johnson said of the chippy exchange between Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur and a fan during pregame. “Now Dan [Campbell] is here, the energy is right, the culture is right—and I don’t know, it’s just, we are keeping that chip on our shoulder, I know that.”

- Chicago Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson was fined for tripping Lions receiver Jameson Williams, but that isn’t the reason he tossed the ball at the corner’s face. Dave Birkett has the story from this year’s Thanksgiving win.
FWIW, Jameson Williams told me the trip wasn’t the reason he tossed the ball at Tyrique Stevenson last week https://t.co/HCfu5cRfXw via @freep
