Injury-ravaged Giants will be cobbling together a lineup on Sunday
Wide receiver Malik Nabers (hip flexor) will play Sunday for the New York Giants when the host the New Orleans Saints, though his role is expected to be a limited one.
Nabers, the Giants’ leading receiver, suffered his injury during practice on Thursday.
The Giants also be without starting left tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, who will miss his second straight game with a quad injury, and Chris Hubbard, who started in Eluemunor’s place vs. the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. Hubbard has a knee injury. That could mean Joshua Ezeudu starts at left tackle.
Cornerback Deonte Banks (rib), linebacker Bobby Okereke (back) and defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches neck/shoulder) were ruled out on Friday.
Starting slot cornerback Dru Phillips will also miss the game with a shoulder injury
The Giants made a series of roster moves on Saturday to supplement their injury-depleted roster.
In the last two weeks, the Giants have placed three defensive tackles — Dexter Lawrence, Armon Watts and D.J. Davidson — on injured reserve.
