The Detroit Lions released their Week 14 injury designations and they will be without 4 players vs. the Packers, including Taylor Decker and DJ Reader.

The Detroit Lions (11-1) and Green Bay Packers (9-3) have released their Week 14 injury designations ahead of their battle on “Thursday Night Football.”

Let’s take a look at Wednesday’s injury report and get you up to date with what we know. Note that any changes from Monday’s report will be bolded.

Ruled OUT

  • LT Taylor Decker (knee)
  • DL Josh Paschal (knee)
  • DL Levi Onwuzurike (hamstring)
  • DT DJ Reader (shoulder)

Despite some optimism following the Colts game, Decker will now miss his second consecutive game, and third of the season. He will be replaced by Dan Skipper in the starting lineup, most likely at left tackle, based on previous adjustments.

Paschal and Onwuzurike suffered tough injuries against the Bears and were expected to miss this game. Paschal’s starting role will mostly likely go to Al-Quidin Muhammed, while the Lions may need to lean on a newcomer to replace Onwuzurike’s supporting role.

With Reader unable to go, it’s unclear who the Lions will turn to in the starting lineup. For most of the season, the Lions have leaned on Pat O’Connor (6-foot-4, 276) in a supplemental nose tackle role, but it’s possible the role is given to Brodric Martin (6-foot-5, 330), who is better suited physically for the taxing role.

Questionable

  • None

Not listed with an injury designation

  • CB Carlton Davis (hand, knee)
  • CB Emmanuel Moseley (hamstring)

Davis was limited to start the week but he returned to full practices after that and is ready to play on Thursday.

Moseley was held out of last week’s game as a precaution, which appears to be a wise decision, as he was able to practice in full all week and should be ready to play vs. the Packers.

Packers’ injury designations

Note: Packers’ starters are bolded.

Ruled OUT

  • WR Romeo Doubs (concussion) — did not clear concussion protocols
  • LB Edgerrin Cooper (hamstring)
  • CB Jaire Alexander (knee) — downgraded
  • CB Corey Ballentine (knee)

The Packers have also ruled out four players, including three starters. While Green Bay was hopeful they could get Doubs clear of the NFL’s concussion protocol, he was not able to pass the requirements. Cooper has not been able to practice this week, so his exclusion is not surprising. What is surprising is the downgrade of Alexander, who had been practicing in a limited fashion, but will also not be able to play.

Not listed with an injury designation

  • RB Josh Jacobs (calf)
  • TE John Fitzpatrick (back)
  • LT Rasheed Walker (knee)
  • LG Elgton Jenkins (knee)
  • C Josh Myers (pectoral)
  • DL Kenny Clark (rest)
  • DL Colby Wooden (shoulder)
  • LB Isaiah McDuffie (ankle)
