The Giants’ ghosts won’t go away | New York Post
The Giants’ biggest decisions haven’t just backfired. They’ve failed on the biggest stages for all to see. Every failure has been magnified to the extreme.
The latest was Wink Martindale’s masterclass on Saturday, when he orchestrated Michigan’s dominant defense in a stunning 13-10 win over No. 2 Ohio State. Martindale served as the Giants’ defensive coordinator for head coach Brian Daboll’s first two seasons in charge, but they had a falling-out last season that led to Martindale’s departure.
Darius Slayton on his career
“I think I’ve improved every year that I’ve been in the NFL. Whenever this season ends, I’ll go into the offseason, go to work, and come back a better version of myself.”

NFL Week 13: Biggest questions, takeaways for every game | ESPN.com
What we learned about the QB today: It’s not Lock’s fault. He made some mistakes, but he also never really stood a chance. Lock took 13 quarterback hits and six sacks while throwing for 172 yards with an interception and a fumble, to go along with 57 rush yards and a touchdown on the ground. The results with Lock looked similar to those with Jones and DeVito. The Giants’ problems go well beyond just the quarterback.
How New York Giants Head Coach Brian Daboll Can Save His Job | SI.com
Shane Bowen might be a good defensive coordinator with the right personnel, but in his one season with the Giants? The results have indicated that his philosophies haven’t exactly meshed as well with the personnel as all had hoped would be the case.
Why? Because when you see the promise of cornerback Deonte Banks, who thrived in press-man coverage struggle because he’s being asked to play more zone, and you see a fall-off from inside linebacker Bobby Okereke’s performance a year ago, it’s not so much that those players suddenly fell off a cliff in terms of production as it is a question as to whether what they’re being asked to do within the scheme is a fit for their respective talents.
Morash: Giants stink, but firing Brian Daboll isn’t a savior | WFAN
“Heading into [the Dallas game], the sharks were circling after the effort against the Bucs, which was putrid and unacceptable coming off the bye, and pitchforks were out for Brian Daboll,” Shaun said. “But after watching that game, how could you watch that and look at yourself in the mirror if you’re still anti-Daboll as the head coach? If you were pounding the table saying he lost the team, did that happen yesterday? On a short week, it would have been easy for this team to continue to quit the way they did against the Bucs, and even after going down 27-10, but they didn’t. Is that a low bar? Hell yes, but one that still computes to proof that this locker room still believes in the head coach.”

Brian Burns dedicated to Giants despite struggling team streak | New York Post
Burns has been playing through a groin injury — gingerly limping around the locker room after games — since Week 3. He still entered Sunday with the second-most snaps played of any NFL defensive lineman, according to FantasyPros.
“I can only speak for myself, and my motivation comes from inside,” Burns said. “My pride, basically. I’m just not going to go out there and lay down. I’ve been playing banged up all year. It’s just not in me to lay down to anybody.”
Giants-Cowboys racks up 38.5 million viewers, fourth most on Thanksgiving | Pro Football Talk
It’s the fourth highest audience for a Thanksgiving game ever. And it gave Fox a 14-percent bump over last year’s Packers-Lions game on Thanksgiving.
The Dallas game still dropped from last year. Commanders-Cowboys on CBS drew 41.8 million. In 2022, Giants-Cowboys on Fox attracted 42.06 million. In 2021, Raiders-Cowboys broke 40 million, at 40.8.

3. New York Giants: QB Cam Ward, Miami. Ward does come with some concerns, as his turnover-worthy play percentage has been high throughout his five seasons as a starter — though his 2.6% mark in 2024 marks the lowest of his career. However, he also has a knack for delivering big-time throws and the talent to execute them. For the Giants, Ward offers a higher passing ceiling than they’ve had since Eli Manning’s tenure.
35. New York Giants: CB Darien Porter, Iowa State
67. New York Giants: WR Jack Bech, TCU

NFL Week 13: Biggest questions, takeaways for every game | ESPN.com
Is the Darren Rizzi magic over? Rizzi seemed to have the Saints back on track, going 2-0 after taking over for fired coach Dennis Allen. But the New Orleans offense struggled for three quarters out of its bye week, and the Saints allowed Los Angeles to pull away. The question now is whether Rizzi can regroup enough to make a stretch run to end the season on a high note.
Saints TE Taysom Hill suffers torn ACL, other damage in loss to Rams | Canal Street Chronicles
The New Orleans Saints lost yet another piece of their offense to injury versus the Los Angeles Rams. Taysom Hill, who the Saints brought in on 4th-and-1 to pick up the first down, suffered a torn ACL and other damage versus the Rams on Sunday, which means he will miss the remainder of the 2024 season.
Hill is currently 35 years old and in his seventh season with the Saints. In 2024, Hill recorded 23 receptions for 183 receiving yards while rushing 39 times for 278 yards and six touchdowns. He has also been a great blocker and special teams player for the Saints.
