Who is going to be sitting out of this one?
We’re a little less than ninety minutes away from kicking things off in Minneapolis as the Minnesota Vikings host the Arizona Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium. Both teams have released their inactive lists for this one, so let’s see who will be sitting things out.
Arizona Cardinals
- OL Christian Jones
- OLB Julian Okwara
- DL Khyiris Tonga
- TE Travis Vokolek
- WR Xavier Weaver
The Cardinals had four players listed as “questionable” on their final injury report, but all of them are active for today’s game. Honestly, I didn’t know Tonga (the former Viking) had found his way to Arizona.
This will also be the NFL debut for Cardinals’ first-round pick Darius Robinson. He was placed on injured reserve during the team’s final cuts with a calf injury and will be playing in his first game this afternoon. Hopefully this is the last we hear about him today.
Minnesota Vikings
- OL Ed Ingram
- OL Michael Jurgens
- CB Dwight McGlothern
- TE Josh Oliver
- DL Levi Drake Rodriguez
- QB Brett Rypien (emergency QB)
- S Jay Ward
Ed Ingram is a healthy scratch this afternoon, with Walter Rouse being “up” for the first time in his NFL career. Ingram was not listed on the injury report this week, so he is officially a healthy scratch. Have to be honest. . .I did not see that one coming. Other than that, no real surprises on the inactive list for the purple in this one. Cam Robinson, who had been listed as “questionable” on the final injury report, is active and will start at left tackle.
Those are the inactive lists for today’s contest between the Vikings and the Cardinals at U.S. Bank Stadium. We’ll have our first discussion thread of the day ready to go at 11:30 AM Central time, and we hope you’ll join us for all of today’s action.
