The Los Angeles Rams once again are looking to get back to a .500 record
The Los Angeles Rams (5-6) face the New Orleans Saints (4-7) this Sunday as LA attempts to stay relevant another week, while the Saints are fighting for their lives. To me, this is a classic pick’em game, and it’s likely to be a tight contest, but with the Saints looking to be in more of a rebuild mode (they fired their head coach midseason) I am picking LA to come out victorious in Week 13.
Both of these teams have been disappointing, and minus a 2-game win streak to start the season New Orleans has struggled due to injury and inconsistent play. In fact, the campaigns that the Saints and Rams are having are probably comparable.
LA has had positive moments, but whether it is due to injury, inexperience, poor play or some combination of factors the Rams have not looked like a serious contender to compete for the Super Bowl. However, LA does look like a team that can make the playoffs, and once you are in you never know what is going to happen.
Another positive for the Rams is that the NFC West is still wide open with each game mattering more and more if Sean McVay and Les Snead want to see their franchise make the postseason hunt.
Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill will keep LA busy on defense, but the Rams should have the advantage in overall firepower between Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Puca Nakua and Kyren Williams.
How LA’s offensive line performs against defensive stalwart Cameron Jordan could also determine the type of day LA ends up having.
It’s anyone’s game but I think the Rams have the slight advantage in terms of a more polished roster, but we’ll find out on Sunday.
Final Score: Rams 24, Saints 17
