X/Twitter reacts to Las Vegas finding another way to lose
This season has been a comedy of errors for the Las Vegas Raiders so it’s almost fitting how the Raiders’ Week 13 matchup on Black Friday ended against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Las Vegas trailed by two possessions and hadn’t scored a touchdown until late in the third quarter when Aidan O’Connell connected with Brock Bowers for a 33-yard score to make it a 16-10 contest. Then, O’Connell led another touchdown drive with an explosive 58-yard touchdown pass to Tre Tucker to take a one-point lead in the fourth quarter.
The Chiefs managed to retake the lead with a field goal shortly after Tucker found the end zone, but the Raiders executed a strong two-minute drive to get within range to pull off the upset on the road.
However, a miscommunication between O’Connell and Jackson Powers-Johnson led to a bad snap that Kansas City recovered as Las Vegas found yet another way to lose a game.
To make matters worse, that wasn’t the only misstep the Silver and Black had on the afternoon. Daniel Carlson, who has been reliable all year and for the majority of his tenure with the organization, missed three out of four field goal attempts. Between the errant kicks and fumbled snap, the Raiders left at least 12 points on the board to take their 10th loss of the season.
While many in the fanbase have their eyes on securing a top pick in the NFL Draft, Las Vegas’ embarrassing loss has led to more frustration as we round up a few reaction posts from X/Twitter.
In case you missed it, this is a brutal way to lose.

Antonio Pierce’s reaction pretty much says it all, that is the look of a defeated man.
I can’t believe that just happened.

Pierce: “I am proud of my team … We came up short again. The record is what it is, but this team is prideful. … I don’t know what to keep saying after losses.”

O’Connell and Powers-Johnson are both taking accountability for the fumble.
Jackson Powers-Johnson took the blame for the late-game fumble, while Aidan O’Connell said it was his fault. Both players were accountable. The bottom line is that that can’t happen. It was a tough loss for the @Raiders.

#Raiders C Jackson Powers-Johnson said it was a miscommunication on the final offensive play. He thought O’Connell was calling for the snap, but he wasn’t. He shouldered the blame.
“We didn’t come up short,” Powers-Johnson said, “I came up short.”

O’Connell takes full blame, said he clapped too early and that’s a clear sign to hike the ball.

Interesting strategy by Pierce…
Pierce said the plan was to throw the ball away to kill some more time before the #Raiders attempted a FG.

What was the worst loss of the Thanksgiving games, Raiders or Bears?

This is fairly accurate, unlike Carlson.

This was a great grab from Brock Bowers though, who had 10 catches for 140 yards and a touchdown.
It’s scary to think that Brock Bowers is going to eventually get a QB upgrade

The draft is the silver lining. Who do you want the Raiders to take?
