Center Tanor Bortolini missed practice again today with a concussion. Bortolini missing back to back practices all but confirms he will miss this weeks game against the Patriots. It look as though the Colts will start their third different center this year with Danny Pinter set to start on Sunday.
Wide receivers Josh Downs (shoulder), Alex Pierce (foot) and Ashton Dulin (ankle) all missed practice today for the second straight day. Shane Steichen has said Downs is a long shot to play Sunday but it isn’t looking too favourable for Pierce and Dulin either. Steichen did say Pierce would be good to go Sunday but two straight missed practices isn’t looking good for him. If Downs is ruled out for Sunday then expect to see a healthy dose of Adonai Mitchell and maybe even Michael Pittman in the slot.
Right tackle Braden Smith missed practice again today due to a personal matter. It is unclear what the person matter is but opefully he can return to practice tomorrow and the personal matter gets cleared up soon too. If not it could be another start for rookie Matt Goncalves this time at right tackle.
Left tackle Bernhard Raimann was a full participant at practice today. This marks the first full practice Raimann has been able to be since injuring his knee almost three weeks ago. The Colts getting Raimann back would be huge for an offense that is struggling to run the ball and keep Anthony Richardson clean.
